Denture is a prosthetic solution in case of big toothless. Denture can replaced missing teeth and is supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity.
Usually dentures are removable. However, there are many different types of dentures recommended to diverse amount of missing teeth. Some which rely on bonding or clipping onto teeth or dental implants.
Dentures can be divided into:
- removable denture – denture placed on foundation and removed by the patient (frame denture, functionally unstable denture, overdenture)
- fixed denture / permanent denture– denture which is permanently connected to pillar teeth
